greyfade studio is an ideal recording space for solo instrumentalists or songwriters, small ensembles, and artists or producers looking to track additional production elements for their project.

the studio’s live room can comfortably accommodate drumset or percussion, singer-songwriter, guitarist with amplifier setup, chamber ensembles up to a quartet, and many other possible configurations. an isolation booth (with clear sightline into the live room and control room) is well-suited for vocalists, upright bassists, horns, or other instruments requiring isolation from the main ensemble. finally, the studio’s control room (also with sightline to live room and isolation booth) can accommodate keyboardists, electric bassist or guitarist, additional vocalists, percussion, and more.

the studio has a wide assortment of microphones, outboard equipment, vintage keyboards, instruments, and effect pedals, as well as 16-channel personal monitoring hubs for performers.

for sessions requiring larger setups (e.g. large ensembles, grand piano, or complex isolation), we work with several world-class facilities in and around new york city. by utilizing these larger spaces for primary tracking duties, and returning to greyfade studio for overdubbing, editing, and additional production, we can accommodate both a wide range of budgets and the most demanding of production requirements.
